Privacy Policy

Draft — this page describes how Audienzi actually works today, but it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Treat it as our honest description, not yet a binding document.
This policy explains what Audienzi stores when you connect your YouTube channel, who it is shared with, and how to get it back or get rid of it. It is written to describe the product as it actually works rather than to cover every theoretical case.
Who we are
Audienzi ("we", "us") is the service at www.audienzi.app, operated by Ace Gjorgjievski, an individual trading as Audienzi, based in North Macedonia. You can reach us at support@audienzi.app. Audienzi is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
What we store
When you sign in and use Audienzi, we store:
- Account details from Google: your email address, your name, your Google account identifier, and your YouTube channel's id and title.
- Authorisation: the access and refresh tokens Google issues so we can act on your behalf. These are encrypted before they are written to our database, are only ever decrypted on our server, and are never sent to your browser.
- Videos you paste: the YouTube video id, title, thumbnail and channel, plus whether the video belongs to your channel.
- Comments we fetch for those videos: the comment text, the author's public display name and profile image URL, like counts, timestamps and YouTube's own comment identifiers — top-level comments and their replies.
- What the product generates: the sentiment and category labels applied to each comment, your reply drafts and any edits you make to them, replies you have posted, and the two or three sample sentences you give us so drafts match your voice.
- Usage counts: how much YouTube API quota your account has used per day, and how many comments and drafts your account has created in the current month, so plan limits can be applied.
- Feedback you send us from inside the app: your message, the type you chose, which plan you were on and which screen you sent it from.
- Session data: a one-way hash of your sign-in token and its expiry. We cannot read the original token back from it.
What we ask Google for
Audienzi uses Google sign-in. We never see, receive or store your Google password.
We request a single YouTube permission, which allows us to read the comments on videos you choose and to post a reply when you approve one. We do not request access to your email, your files, or anything outside YouTube. You can withdraw this permission at any time from the connected-apps page of your Google account; Audienzi then stops working until you grant it again.
Who your data is shared with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. It reaches three kinds of recipient:
- Google / YouTube — to read the comments you ask for and to post the replies you approve, using the permission you granted.
- Anthropic — our AI provider. When a comment is sorted or a reply is drafted, that comment's text (and, for a draft, your voice samples and your other replies on that video) is sent to Anthropic's API to produce the label or the draft. Anthropic does not train its models on API data.
- Vercel — hosts the website and, through Vercel Web Analytics, counts page views. It does this without cookies and without following you to other sites, and we strip identifiers such as video ids out of the address before it is sent, so which video you were looking at is not part of it. Our database runs on a hosting provider of our own choosing; the data described above lives there on our behalf.
How we use data from Google
Audienzi's use of information received from Google APIs follows Google's API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
In plain terms: the YouTube data we read is used to show you your comments, to sort them, and to draft the replies you approve. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to anyone except the providers listed above who process it so the product can work, and no human on our side reads your comment data except where you ask us for support or the law requires it.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site sets one cookie and stores one preference:
- A sign-in cookie, which keeps you signed in. It cannot be read by scripts in your browser, is only sent to our API, and disappears when you sign out. Without it the product cannot know who you are, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Your light or dark theme choice, stored in your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong colours on the next visit. It never leaves your browser.
How long we keep it
Comments and drafts are kept while the video is in your account. Removing a video from Audienzi deletes that video's stored comments, threads and reply drafts.
Account details, your authorisation and your usage counts are kept while your account exists. Usage counts are retained for as long as we need them to apply plan limits and to account for shared YouTube API quota.
Your choices
- Export: you can export the comments for any video at any time, on every plan, as Markdown, plain text, JSON or CSV.
- Delete a video: removing it from Audienzi deletes its stored comments and reply drafts.
- Withdraw access: revoke Audienzi from your Google account's connected-apps page at any time.
- Delete your account: email us at the address above and we will delete your account and everything attached to it, normally within a few days. A delete-it-yourself button is on the way.
- Posted replies: a reply you have already posted to YouTube can be edited or deleted from inside Audienzi, which also removes our copy of it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, the law gives you rights over your personal data. Whatever the law says where you are, we honour these for everyone:
- Access: ask what we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correction: have wrong account details fixed.
- Deletion: have your account and its data erased, as described above.
- Portability: take your data with you. The export formats above are built for exactly that.
- Objection: tell us to stop a particular use of your data, and we will, unless the product cannot work without it.
- To use any of them, email us at the address above. We answer within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
How we protect it
- Google tokens are encrypted at rest and only decrypted on our server.
- Sign-in tokens are stored as one-way hashes, and a session can be revoked immediately.
- The browser never receives an API key or a Google token.
- The API applies rate limits, request size limits and connection timeouts to resist abuse.
Children
Audienzi is a tool for people who run a YouTube channel and is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 to use it. If we learn that someone younger has created an account, we delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we store or who we share it with, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect.
